It gives a basic insight on how a game played and understanding the underlying principles and control of the center squares. This workshop will also focus on the basic strategies of developing the game. The first 12 moves you make create the foundation of the game. In short this workshop will focus on different classic opening traps.

There are 3 basic principles a chess player must learn. First is to control the center of the board (d4, d5, e4 & e5). Second is to develop your minor pieces (knights and bishop toward the center of the board). Lastly, castle the king and develop basic mid game strategies.
